Privacy Policy
This policy was compiled to better serve visitors who are concerned with how their personally identifiable information (PII) is used online. PII is information that can be used, on its own or with other information, to identify, contact or locate a single person.
What personal information do we collect
Visitors may be asked to provide a name, email address, mailing address or phone number, and other information, when registering on the site or filling out a form.
When we collect information
Information is gathered when a visitor registers, subscribes to a newsletter, fills out a form, opens a support ticket, or otherwise enters information on the site.
The on-site assistant
When you ask the on-site assistant a question, that question (along with the recent messages in that conversation) is sent to Anthropic, a third-party AI provider, which generates an answer grounded only in this site’s own published content. The question and the answer (or a note that no published answer was found) are then recorded to help us improve the site’s published content. This does not include your IP address, name or any other identifying information, unless you type it into the question yourself.
How we use your information
To process transactions quickly, to send periodic emails regarding an order or our services, and to follow up after an email, phone or chat inquiry.
How we protect your information
Regular malware scanning, a secured network with limited access, SSL encryption for sensitive information, and a third-party, PCI-compliant payment gateway that does not store transaction details on our servers.
Do we use cookies
Yes. Cookies can be disabled through browser settings; see the Cookie Policy for the full list of cookies in use and how to manage them. Disabling cookies may affect some site functionality.
Third-party disclosure
We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer your PII to outside parties, and the site does not include third-party products or services beyond what is disclosed here. Google Analytics is used, including DART cookie technology, Google Display Network Impression Reporting and Demographics and Interests Reporting; these can be adjusted through Google Ad Settings or opted out of via the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
Quebec privacy law
Dimonoff is accountable for the protection of personal information under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector. You have the right to access your information, withdraw consent, request rectification, object to processing, or request deletion. Our privacy officer, David Létourneau, can be reached at the contact details below.
CalOPPA, Do Not Track and third-party behavioral tracking
We allow anonymous site visits, maintain a prominent link to this policy, and notify users of policy changes. We honor Do Not Track signals: no cookies are planted and no advertising is displayed when DNT is active. We do not allow third-party behavioral tracking.
COPPA (children’s privacy)
We do not specifically market to children under 13, and do not allow third parties to collect PII from minors on the site.
Data breach notification and CAN-SPAM
We commit to notifying users by email within seven business days of confirming a data breach. Email addresses collected are used to send information and respond to inquiries, process orders, and provide product updates and marketing communications; you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email or by contacting us.
